iEurope.biz - the European info center

Mashup (from Wikipedia): “… a mashup is a web page or application that combines data or functionality from two or more external sources to create a new service”. As Europe moves towards one country, and Europeans tend to their business in several European countries (e.g. live in the UK, work in Germany, party in Denmark, shop in France and vacation in Italy), there is a need for pan-European information centers (just as they have in the US): telephone directories, stock quotes, weather, transportation, education, work, sports, entertainement, work, singles, etc. This website, ieurope.biz, strives to do just that: By tapping into existing websites, it overcomes the different websites, languages, input and output to present a one-stop / one-format information center. To date ieurope.biz covers some 17 countries in Western Europe, and offers only a few services (phone directories (both white and yelow pages), weather, stocks and transportation), but the goal is to expand both (number of countries and sevices). Still, it is the only website where you can look up your family name in all (western) European countries at once, or look for, say, 'scuba' or 'casino', in all those country's yellow pages at once.
