Vision, objectives and goals:
The project is trying to help an area where 300.000 people live distributed in 57 small and medium municipalities, most of what placed in the so called "disadvantages position" (5b objective), where the fruition of public services and information is very hard and the aging and the decrease of population is a big problem to solve.
The project is unique because it transformed the province into a "diffuse digital city", where all the information and services from local public administration are given in a unique, global solution and without making citizens to move.
How ICT contributes to the organisational objectives:
Today the Provincial Administration, all the municipalities, all the local offices for mountain areas, the Chamber of Commerce, many schools and other office institutions (also No profit) and associations are connected and update their own information and services to be given to citizens and enterprises. In order to do so, all the partners' employees, who had been the first users and actors in the SINP project, have been trained.
Users can avoid moving, waiting and loosing time looking for information in different fields and trying to understand if, where and how to get the services. How to get a new passport? How to get a commerce licence? Who is looking for employees or how to publish a Curruiculum Vitae to look for a job? What teathers in the province offer? What's new about schools? What all newspaper say about local news and national information concerning administration? Which calls for tenders are available in the province or who won the one I was interested in? How express my personal opinion and/or suggestion about local administration matters? These and much more can a citizen find while getting into our site.
We measure our results by constantly analysing our site' statistic reports and measuring our customer satisfaction through our Public Relation Dept .
Summary:
The SINP project involves all departments and offices of the Province of Macerata (all municipalities, schools, chamber of commerce and many other local public administration departments). Thanks to an intranet system all connected offices can use the net instruments to comunicate and share inside information taking advantage of distributed services as official journals, specialized databases etc. Thanks to the Internet site all those offices can reach citizens and interprises, giving them information and services that can be given all together and easily reached.
